Mediciti College of Nursing drives its lineage from SHARE (Science and Health Care Allied Research and Education), a philanthropic foundation dedicate to community service through health care delivery at gross root level. Mediciti College of Nursing is co- promoted by SHARE Medical Care Foundation.

Society for Health Allied Research and Education (SHARE), a not-for-profit organization, was established in Hyderabad by a group of expatriate Indian doctors with distinguished medical careers in the United States of America. This philanthropic initiative was led by Dr. P. S. Reddy, a renowned cardiologist of international repute, with the vision to serve the motherland by building a center of excellence in medical education, research, and clinical care, while providing world-class patient services to the underserved at affordable costs. The core philosophy on which SHARE was founded is that “Nature has created a divided world of those who have the capacity to give and those who have the need to receive.” Guided by this principle, Share Medical Care Foundation continues its mission of integrating medical education, research, and patient care to serve society effectively, ethically, and economically.

In the field of research and education, SHARE pursues global standards through impactful publications and academic excellence. Our collaborations with prestigious international institutions such as the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Kentucky, and University of Chicago, USA, have fostered international academic exchanges, joint research, and student immersion programs. Additionally, we actively facilitate national and international internship and placement opportunities for our students.

Originally registered as “Share Medical Care” under Registration No. 331 on 19th February 1987, the institution was later converted into a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013. It now functions as Share Medical Care Foundation with CIN Number: U86100TS2023NPL178107 and License Number: 150004 (issued on 16th October 2023). This transition has strengthened governance, improved efficiency, and reinforced our mission of serving the underprivileged through education and healthcare. Over the years, Share Medical Care Foundation has established MediCiti Hospital, MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) in 2002, Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) in 1995, and MediCiti College of Nursing in 2006.
